Tube accessibility site launched
An online service allowing passengers to check the accessibility of London Underground stations has been launched.
It has been designed for use by people with disabilities, as well as the elderly and those with pushchairs.
The service is currently available at directenquiries.com but it will be integrated into Transport for London’s (TfL) online Journey Planner.
The site also allows people to search for information about car parking and services for visually impaired people.
Bert Massie, Disability Rights Commission (DRC) Chairman, said research showed that disabled people would travel more if they had clearer and more accurate information.
